The BikeTow is constructed of only the finest materials and is made to last lifetime!
The BikeTow unit uses structural industrial steel called A36. As with most steels, A36 has a density 7.8 times that of water. It has the minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi (pound-force per square inch) and maximum tensile strength of 58,000-80,000 psi. In other words it’s super strong and super durable. Each piece of the BikeTow’s steel frame has a powder coating which insures protection against the elements, preventing rust and corrosion.
The Bike tow also includes four super strength 1"x 6' ratchet straps with rubber coated s-hooks. Each strap is made with one inch heavy duty 4,500 lb. polyester webbing. You can rest assured that your bike will be safe and secure with this kind of quality.
The bike tow also includes a steel flag pin which is used to lock the swivel feature on the main unit. Also included are 4 Heavy-Duty Hitch Pins and 4 Connecting Pins. We do not provide the Receiver Hitch Pin. It is however recommended that you use a Locking Hitch Pin.
